Welcome to the Armadillos CC, a wandering club with a home; and not just any old home. Sheffield Park has a cricketing history which is the envy of many. To discover more about its rich past, click on the Sheffield Park tab on this page. The ground has been the home of the Armadillos since 2009, and provides a wonderful setting for a club whose ethos and own history is firmly steeped in the traditions of wandering cricket.
We offer a mix of friendly fixtures to encourage players of all standards to feel at home as members of the club, and we always aim to play competitively but in the best spirit of cricket. We ensure our opponents enjoy a warm welcome and like them to leave our beautiful ground at the end of a fulfilling day longing to return.
Autumn work on the square has been carried out and the new grass coverage is looking good and strong which bodes well for next season’s wickets. With the autumn colours in the Garden, the ground has continued to look spectacular.
The Club celebrated its 30th Anniversary with a dinner held at Ockenden Manor, Cuckfield on Saturday 9 November. A lovely cross-section of members and wives attended a most enjoyable evening with guest speaker and patron, Johnny Barclay, entertaining us with a lively and amusing speech. A very good time was had by all.
