Welcome to the Armadillos CC, a wandering club that found itself a home; and not just any old home. Sheffield Park has a cricketing history which is the envy of many. To discover more about its rich past, click on the Sheffield Park tab on this page. The ground has been the base for the Armadillos since 2009, and provides a wonderful setting for a club whose ethos remains steeped in the traditions of wandering cricket.
We offer a mix of friendly fixtures to encourage players of all standards to feel at home as members of the club, and we always aim to play competitively but in the best spirit of cricket. We ensure our opponents enjoy a warm welcome, with the intent that they will leave our beautiful ground at the end of the day fulfilled and longing to return.
The Dillo Golf Bowl, competed for at Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club, was won by Richard Ohlson with 38 points. Now the cricket season begins and players should contact match managers as detailed in the fixtures list for those games they wish to play. The opening match is at 2pm this Sunday 10 May against The Griffin.
With Bluebell Vineyard Estates’ 2 year sponsorship drawing to an end, we would welcome the support of any local businesses to help keep alive the incredible story of country house cricket at Sheffield Park Garden. Please contact the Chairman if you are interested in lending support.
